Origins
In May of 2016, Bishop John Franklin White called Rev. Charles L. Brown, Jr. and invited him to transfer to the Virgin Island Annual Conference to plant a church in St. Thomas, US VI. In March of 2017, at the 97th Session of the Virgin Island Annual Conference, Family of Faith AME Church was accepted as a mission, and the work began to build the church.
Mission Statement
Family of Faith AME Church exists to declare and demonstrate in St. Thomas how possessing a saving faith in Jesus Christ empowers us to love God, walk in our purpose, bring liberation to the oppressed, and become one true family.
Vision statement
Family of Faith AME Church will be a church where the Holy Spirit reigns in seeking the lost, worship, advocacy for the powerless, teaching and service.
